Velvet
Years ago, velvet was made of silk, and was only available to the wealthy. Today, cotton is used to produce this lovely soft fabric. often used in upholstery, curtains and garments. It is woven on a loom which weaves fibres of two different thickness at the same time. The two pieces are cut apart creating the tufted soft pile effect. We also have a number of crushed velvet options.
